Couldn’t resist a visit after seeing those pancakes on Bryan’s blog so on Monday the boy & I went to experience the American lifestyle. We’re determined to try everything on their ‘All Day Breakfast’ menu so a few more trips will be made (:
We had the Berries and Flap Jack (SGD18), American Country Breakfast (SGD22) & Triple Mushroom Soup (SGD10). The soup was a last minute order cause the boy’s a fan of mushrooms, personally don’t feel it’s worth the price; bulk of the cost probably goes to the truffle oil dressing. American Country Breakfast was good. Especially love the bacon fried to crisp; sausage was a little to the salty side & having tried German sausages, it’s kind of difficult to find those on par. Nonetheless, the whole set itself was satisfying. Highlight of the day’s definitely the pancakes! Don’t you agree it’s delicious just by looking at it?
Four layers Four thick layers stacked together with berries & cream. Pancakes are made of oat; initially thought it’ll affect the taste but I was totally wrong, it tastes as good as any out there made from flour. This is it if you’re looking for healthier choice but not lacking in any flavour.
Their servings are larger than usual. Taking into account that we eat quite a lot & feeling pretty much bloated after that, we both agreed that for the price paid, it’s definitely worth a try.
