Visited The Coastal Settlement last weekend with the girls; took SBS Bus 2 all the way till Changi Village Interchange & walked for quite a distance before reaching the place. Do note that SBS Bus 29 stops right outside the restaurant so do take it if you’re not a fan of walking/ simply, drive!
More people means more variety of food to try & order. We each had a cup of milkshake (SGD6), worth the price I’d say when McDonald’s retailing at half the price with such a small cup. Strawberry tasted a little too much like the actual milk, Vanilla’s awesome & Banana’s not bad too if you’re a fan of it. For mains I had the Cheese Burger (SGD26), huge portion was my first thought which is definitely to my liking & the fries ain’t your normal fries but thick-cut ones from potatoes. The downside’s everything is just too salty! But that’s purely my personal opinion. The girls had Spicy Black Pepper Crab Spaghetti (SGD22) & Lamb Chop (SGD30). Jia Wei loves her spaghetti to bits cause unlike the regular ones, this had more flavours of pepper & chilli (we both love spicy food). Usually I’m not a fan of mutton especially so when there’s this strong smell/taste, but I must say their lamb chop was good, tasted like beef somehow, definitely changed my perspective of it.
What’s a meal without desserts? Ordered the Earl Grey & Chocolate Bread Butter Pudding (SGD13) which came with french vanilla bean ice-cream. I’m actually sad that it’s a chocolate dessert cause I don’t really like having them but if you’re a fan, I’d say it’s a must-try. It’s not very sugar sweet but rather a rich cocoa taste which Jodie loves.
Overall I’ll say it’s a nice place to visit with your friends/ to try at least once but do keep in mind that the prices are to the high side.
