Never fails to pass by Fatboy’s on my way home from NUS. Was first introduced to this place by the younger sister, she mentioned that the price in the menu is what you pay i.e. no additional 10% service charge & 7% GST. Well logically you still pay for it but they chose to incorporate it into the menu price which I prefer of course.
Was so tempted to try out their signature Fat Basterd burger but we reckon it’s our first visit so I guess variety champions over wants. I tried Wimpy burger (SGD14.50), single version of Fat Basterd, & the boy had Swiss Shroom burger (SGD13). Can I just say how delicious Wimpy is, no doubt it has all the fatty elements of bacon & cheddar cheese but hey, there’s a reason why it’s called Fatboy’s yea? Was watching the video on replay in the shop, apparently the right way to eat the burger’s to compress it together such that you’re able to bite the whole burger with a mouth. Did it & my egg yolk came oozing out, definitely messy but yummy in every way. Swiss Shroom’s the choice if you’re a fan of mushrooms/ simply prefer something that’s not too savoury. If nothing’s to your liking on the menu, fret not cause you’re able to customise your very own burger at Fatboy’s, simply awesome isn’t it!
Since it’s a burger bar there’s very limited desserts available hence we didn’t try any as they were pretty common ones. But we ordered the Vanilla Thick Malt Shake (SGD7.80) & trust me, till date it’s the best milkshake I’ve ever had. You’ve got to try it to believe it. The boy & I kept reminiscing the taste of it & I foresee us making a visit back very soon.
The one I went to is located at Pasir Panjang, there’s two more outlets at Katong & Upper Thomson. Do head down once just to try their signature burgers!
