RAMEN KEISUKE TONKOTSU KING FOUR SEASONS

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAt Bugis last week with the boy to collect some boxes of mooncake. Was thinking of dinner & I suddenly remembered reading online that there’s a ramen store with free flow eggs. Did a quick search & here we are.

If you’re thinking like I do, yes it’s free flow egg, but ain’t the Japanese hard boiled egg, just the normal ones together with free beansprouts. But it’s really nice of them to have such an offer, love that the eggs are the small ones which I usually eat at home & taste better than the normal big ones outside. There are five variations of ramen – Spring Summer Autumn Winter King; since it was our first time there, we went for the top two ramen which were King & Summer. I like that we were able to ‘customise’ our dish, meaning a choice of amount of flavour, oil & noodle hardness.

Didn’t really like King at first cause the soup base had a little too much of the pork taste, but the pork slices were the best! Unlike usual ramen, these pork slices were cooked with all the flavours before it goes into the bowl. Summer was delicious; glad I asked for less oil cause there’s excessive oil from the spicy char siew. It also came with another slice of pork meat which was huge, ended up giving part of the slice to the boy. Soup base was awesome too but just like any Japanese spicy dish, it really isn’t spicy.

Prices range from SGD13.90-17.90 if I’m not wrong.
